Writing workshops are held two or three times a year and are designed to help researchers to express their results clearly in a scientific manuscript. These are informal sessions and each workshop contains up to 10 people. The workshops are interactive and will provide specific feedback on your writing.
Learning how to write scientific manuscripts is a vital skill for all researchers. Publishing your research work is critical to your career progression, as well as to the lab where you do your research. Grant funding is dependent on publication of results in peer reviewed journals. Your work can only be noticed and recognized by your colleagues when it has been published. Your next job may also depend on how many publications you have written and had published, and where your work is accepted.
Our writing workshops will help you to understand how journals select manuscripts for publication, and will guide you through the peer review process. The workshop will also provide you with information on how to get started with writing your manuscripts, the format in which your manuscript should be written and where to find help with your writing if you need it.
